The car's been getting gradually less healthy, cutting out when I take the foot off the gas and sometimes stalling just at the wrong moments - when pulling away at junctions. I've just fitted a new throttle position sensor. This measures the throttle opening, so the ECU can adjust the air intake. This is the old one. It seems to have helped.
Its also been getting harder to change gear, apparently not quite releasing the clutch. It turns out the clutch pedal was very stiff, and a good squirt of oil has freed it up. And the good news is that it passed the MOT, and I've also just passed 50,000 miles (having done only about 200 since December!)
