After several months when the Morgan just sat in the shed, I have recently got round to starting renovation work on the right (offside) wing. It was straighforward to remove, after undoing the bolts on the one side of the cowl and cowl-box.
This wing is in better shape than the nearside wing was, but still needed a large strip along the bottom and rear replacing. Time to brush up on my welding again.
It needed lots of spot welding (trying to weld in a strip just melted through the thin steel), and more spot welds to attach the U-tube along the edge, mainly all along the inside. This was then filled with body solder
And lots and lots of 2-part filler to hide the joint and get a smooth curve.
And then hammerite paint and underseal.
